Terms of use
Last updated 24 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses sweatequityhub.com (“SweatEquityHub”, “we”, “us”), an early-stage project that is not yet incorporated. By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy policy.
1. What SweatEquityHub is, and is not
SweatEquityHub is a platform where companies post projects offering equity and/or cash for defined work, and where contributors and professional advisors find those projects, communicate and record agreements and milestones.
- We are not a party to any agreement between members. Agreements made on SweatEquityHub are between the company and the contributor only.
- We do not give legal, tax, investment, accounting or securities advice, and nothing on the site is a recommendation to accept any offer. Equity has risks: it may become worthless, be diluted or be impossible to sell.
- We are not a broker, investment adviser or exchange, we do not issue, hold or transfer shares, and we do not handle payments between members.
- We do not verify every member or listing. Advisors marked “Verified” have had their professional details checked; other information comes from members themselves. Do your own checks before relying on it.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into contracts. If you act for a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
- Give accurate information, keep it up to date and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You need to confirm your email address before posting, applying or messaging.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone.
3. Listings, applications and messages
- Listings must describe a real opportunity, the work involved and the compensation honestly, and must comply with the law, including securities and employment law that applies to the company.
- Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, abusive or that infringes someone else's rights, and do not use the site to send spam, solicit for unrelated services or collect other members' data.
- You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to host, display and process it as needed to run the platform.
- You can report listings and conversations. We may remove content, close listings or suspend accounts that break these terms.
4. Agreements and signatures
- The agreement tools help two members set out terms, propose changes and sign. When you type your name and press “Sign agreement”, you are signing electronically and we record your typed name, title, the time and the version you signed.
- Whether an electronic signature is legally binding, and whether more is needed (for example board approval, a shareholder agreement, a notary or a filing to actually issue shares), depends on the law that applies to you and the company. Take independent advice before signing.
- Each member is responsible for performing what they agreed. Disputes between members are for the members to resolve; we may help by keeping the record, but we are not an arbitrator.
- Because the other party relies on it, the record of a signed agreement is kept even if one party later closes their account: while rights under it exist, and for 10 years after the company records that they have ended (see the Privacy policy). A company should mark those rights as ended on the agreement page once no equity or other rights remain.
5. Advisors
Professional advisors listed in the directory are independent of SweatEquityHub. Any engagement, fees and advice are between you and the advisor, under their professional terms.
6. Fees
Membership is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell members in advance and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
7. Closing your account, suspension
- You can close your account at any time from your account page, straight away or after 30 days (during which you can change your mind). Agreements still in negotiation are cancelled and the other party is told. Signed agreements stay available to the other party, as described in the Privacy policy, and you remain responsible for what you agreed.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other members at risk or is used for spam or fraud. Where reasonable we will tell you why.
8. Our responsibility
- We work to keep the site available and secure, but provide it “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for agreements, work, payments or equity between members, for content posted by members, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell members before it takes effect; continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms. Questions: admin@sweatequityhub.com.
